VIPs are Very Important Pips that have unique effects on the village. Most produce either Hope or Fear every day.

Monster

I remember once an ugly Monster came out of nowhere and attacked the village! Everybody was scared, but I was pretty sure something was off.

Idiot
|
This one Pip... there was something wrong with him, but he was mostly harmless, so we just left him alone.

We once had a Pip who became obsessed with blood and tried to kill a Pip every night. It was quite a bad time for the village!

How sad would life be without music? We always listened to the Bard's songs, even if most of them were about the strange deaths of our friends.

Their face, hidden under that big hat, was stern and unfriendly. I always wondered what their intentions were.

They are generated by Event:The Stranger, and can lead to Events ???, ???, ???, Event:Hidden Identity, or Event:No More a Stranger.

Jester
|
The funniest of the Pips! He told the best jokes and made fun of the other Pips' quirks. Not everyone liked the humour, but the overall result was positive.

Cat
|
Nothing beats having a cat wandering around the village, purring all over the place. I used to have three cats at home myself!

Cat produces 4 Hope each day and does not require any additional housing. They cannot work in any building.

I once saw a Pip in the wilderness, staring at us from beyond the forest. I am pretty sure I only realised he was there because of the stench.
